Well Inspection
Buying or selling a rural property in the Midwest region? More often than not, most rural properties have their water supply come from a private or shared well.
To keep your well running safely and optimally, it is highly suggested that it be maintained and inspected regularly. That way, you can identify any significant issues regarding the performance of the well, or any health risks that come with poor water quality.
During the sales or purchase process, it is critical to ensure you have the well inspected to avoid any unforeseen issues. It is recommended to have the water tested for quality to confirm the water supply has not been tainted by the surrounding environment. Many jurisdictions do not require any type of regular inspection or maintenance of the well system, so getting a well inspected during the sales process and then regularly after that can add some much-needed peace of mind.
With Level 7 Property Inspections, we provide a free 6-month warranty with all well inspections. This warranty covers the well pump, bladder tank, and all other well related parts. It will also include the cost of drilling for a new well if a full replacement is needed.
The typical well inspection includes, at minimum:
- Visual Inspection of well head, pressure tank, pressure gauge, pressure switch and all well related parts.
- Well pump, pressure tank and yield testing.

At the conclusion of the inspection, you will be provided with a verbal condition on-site and then a very detailed report of the well manufacturer, type, and condition.
If you choose to include a well inspection as part of your overall home inspection, the rate will be discounted!
